Our mission is to advance nursing education, research, leadership, and professional collaboration in the food allergy subspecialty. We aim to improve patient outcomes and quality of life by cultivating a food allergy-informed nursing workforce, collaborating on developing alternative care models that leverage technology to meet the needs of impacted
populations, and translating evidence-based practices into care.

Our Story
FANA is a nonprofit organization that applied to be 501(c)3. It was initially founded in 2019 as Food Allergy Nurses Interest Group (FANI) and was incorporated as a nonprofit in 2024.
We value the unique contributions of nurses and nurses' voices as an integral component of interdisciplinary food allergy management, education, leadership, research and scholarship. ​
